At Buenos Aires' San Fernando Airport, a jet was landing when it went over the runway and struck a home.

According to reports, the aircraft seemed to lose control when it landed on December 18 at around noon local time.

According to Clarin, the jet then seemed to attempt to accelerate and take off once more, but instead, it veered off the runway and collided violently with a home.

The captain and co-pilot, who were the only humans on board at the time, were killed when it burst into flames.

Investigators are currently examining the crash after firefighters hurried to the scene to extinguish a fire.

"The plane was approaching at full speed when we saw it. One resident, Melany, who is pregnant, stated, "We heard it."

"We noticed it coming from behind the bars while we were in the yard. It was directly aimed at us.

"We took off for the rear. We would have perished there with the plane if we hadn't broken the wall. Additionally, a 73-year-old man who resided in one of the destroyed residences was sent to the hospital.

The plane can be seen moving along the ground, through a barrier at the airport's perimeter, and into the building across the street in CCTV footage.

The pilots had been chartered to go to Uruguay earlier in the morning, and they were returning from that trip.

Only a few flights pass through San Fernando Airport annually, which is about 1.2 miles from the heart of San Fernando, a northwest suburb of Argentina's capital.
