After more routes to European destinations were added, an airport's passenger volume increased by over 25%.
Between April and October of this year, 316,000 passengers took flights from Norwich International, according to airport officials. This is a 23% increase over the same period in 2023.
It stated that since April, 63,000 passengers have flown on Ryanair's new routes to Alicante, Faro, and Malta, exceeding the low-cost airline's original prediction of 60,000.

"We're looking forward to a busy 2025 and continuing to offer passengers great choice with the ease and convenience of flying from their local airport," stated Richard Pace, managing director of the airport
Ryanair made the decision to keep running flights to Alicante into March 2025, even though it was winter.
The airport can accommodate 1.2 million people annually and is located roughly 2.5 miles (4 km) north of the city centre.
Mr. Pace stated in August that it was now running at little less than 500,000.

In a nationwide consumer poll earlier this year, it was ranked among the top three airports in the UK for customer service.
