Ryanair flight heads back to Manchester due to a possible open door

Shortly after takeoff, a Ryanair flight to Copenhagen made its way back to Manchester.

Yesterday, Monday, March 18, 2024, saw the departure of Ryanair aircraft #RK6967 from Manchester for a scheduled one hour and thirty-minute trip to Copenhagen.

A defect indicator caused the Boeing 737-800 (registered G-RUKB) to rise to 15,000 feet, where it was forced to hold for about 30 minutes at 7,000 feet.

A door open indicator forced the pilots to halt the climb, according to Flight Emergency.

Fifty-eight minutes after takeoff, the plane landed back at Manchester Airport.

The repair crew parked the aircraft in a secluded location so they could examine it.
