Manchester - Brussels Ryanair FR614
As Flight FR614 approached Manchester (MAN) early this morning, it went into a holding pattern at 9,000 feet and then declared a general emergency.
The flight looks to be diverting to Liverpool after a period of holding, most likely due to weather conditions at MAN.

Manchester (MAN) is currently experiencing marginally variable flying conditions (MVFR), with gusts up to 41 knots and winds of 28 knots.
Flight FR614 has now been diverted to Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL), an alternate airport. The emergency declaration this morning was most likely the result of precautions taken because of the low fuel level.
The aircraft has now accelerated its approach and landed in Liverpool, which is close by (LPL).
Weather conditions: Storm Pia
Due to Storm Pia's impending arrival, the UK Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for today. With wind speeds of up to 80 miles per hour predicted in Scotland and some areas of England, high winds are predicted to disrupt flight operations in the run-up to Christmas break.
