Passengers on Ryanair marched off as the aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing.

Ryanair had to make a U-turn and return to Stansted after receiving "reports of drug abuse and verbal abuse on board" on a flight that was headed for Morocco.

Due to a group of "disruptive" passengers, the plane was forced to return to the Essex airport instead of its intended destination of Marrakesh.

When the plane landed, police boarded and began searching.

Men are seen being led off the aircraft in video, but Essex police subsequently stated that no arrests had been made.

According to a passenger on the aircraft, the incident upset other passengers.

The 25-year-old, who wished to remain anonymous, described the situation as chaotic.

"Everyone was freaking out unsure of what was happening. When we landed, one guy was in the brace position.

About an hour into the flight, we discovered that the plane was making a turn back to Stansted.

"About four armed police came on board when we finally landed."

Officers at Stansted Airport provided assistance after a plane was brought back to the airport on December 7 at approximately 4:15 p.m., according to Essex Police.

This came about as a result of verbal and drug abuse allegations on board.
