Expo 2023 Doha, a six-month event with the theme "Green Desert, Better Environment," was featured in a new livery that Qatar Airways introduced on Sunday. From October 11, Qatar Airways will also provide unique in-flight experiences and improved menus as the event's Official Strategic Partner.
The opening also marks Qatar Airways' and Hamad International Airport's preparation to host an international event centered on environmental awareness, solidifying their roles as key allies on the path to a sustainable future. Three million visitors from around the world are anticipated during the Expo's opening ceremony today and its duration through March 28, 2024.

A 2005 Airbus A330-300 with the registration A7-AED and MSN 0680 has been outfitted with the Expo 2023 Doha livery, and it will depart today for Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) in China. Recently, this aircraft has flown medium-distance routes from Doha Hamad (DOH) to places like Tunis (TUN), Colombo (CMB), Warsaw (WAW), Kathmandu (KTM), and Kolkata (CCU), and it appears to be at ease with sectors that take about five hours to fly.
Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group Akbar Al Baker introduced the unique livery at Hamad International and said the following during the ceremony:
"We welcome all countries to Expo 2023 Doha, which represents a continuation of our inspiring journey filled with innovation, collaboration, and pioneering solutions. The arrival of the Expo 2023 Doha aircraft at Hamad International Airport symbolizes our commitment to fostering a sustainable and innovative future as enshrined in Qatar's national vision."
The Expo is also known as Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha, and in keeping with that concept, starting on October 11th, Qatar Airways will provide an improved in-flight experience on flights. There will be a selection of specially selected beverages and a special à la carte meal with foods from Qatari farms.
A memorable horticulture experience in flight will be provided by the in-flight entertainment, which will include entertainment with an Expo theme and a dedicated Expo channel with more than thirty gardening-related programs.
