Air India First Airbus A350 out of the paint shop

On social media, Air India posted some pictures of their brand-new Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

The aircraft was displayed in the paint shop at Airbus' facilities in Toulouse, France, sporting Air India's brand-new livery, which was unveiled in August 2023. The aircraft now flies under the test registration F-WZHH.

It will be an Indian airline's first time flying an A350. Its delivery is anticipated to occur before the end of the year

The Indian flag carrier now has 40 A350 aircraft on order, including six of the -900 model and 34 A350-1000s.

These are a part of a larger mega-order for 540 aircraft, which was placed with the European manufacturer earlier in 2023 and also comprises 140 A320neo and 70 A321neo single-aisle aircraft. Boeing received yet another order from Air India for 290 aircraft.

Air India will get some of the Aeroflot-built airframes in order to speed up the delivery of the first batch of A350 aircraft, and for the time being, they will keep the Aeroflot-installed interiors in the cabins.
