Two pilots tragically lost their lives, and four others were injured after a T-28 Trojan crashed during an air show in Hungary.

If you saw the video taken on September 10, 2023, it's heart-wrenching to see the T-28 Trojan soaring one moment and then suddenly losing altitude, plunging to the earth below. The crash was followed by a massive explosion, with a ball of fire and dense black smoke shooting up into the sky.

The local authorities have shared the sad news that a 67-year-old and a 37-year-old perished at the Börgönd air show, not far from Budapest. The Associated Press reported that a car nearby was caught up in the aftermath, leaving three of its occupants with severe burns. They were quickly taken to the hospital. Heartbreakingly, a young boy nearby was also injured.

According to the police, "After the small plane crashed and caught fire near a parked car, the large crowd began to calmly evacuate the area."

Dr. Cser-Palkovics András, the mayor of the neighboring town Szekesfehervar, took to Facebook to express his grief. He identified the two who passed away as male pilots.

He wrote, "Today, what's usually a joyful event in Börgönd – awaited by thousands of plane enthusiasts and sky aficionados – became a day of sorrow. We mourn the loss of two pilots, and our hearts go out to the four attendees who were injured. Speaking both as a supporter of the event and personally, words can't describe the pain we're feeling. We're keeping the pilots' families, as well as the injured, in our prayers and thoughts."
