You know, flying can already be stressful, but can you imagine being on a plane when someone tries to break into the cockpit? That's what happened on a United Airlines flight recently. They were just about to head from Chicago to L.A. when this passenger suddenly had the not-so-bright idea to see what's behind the cockpit door. I mean, everyone knows you're not supposed to do that, right?
And, get this—it wasn't just the cockpit door. This person tried to open the emergency exits too! Obviously, the plane had to head back to the gate, and, unsurprisingly, there were police waiting for our adventurous passenger.
Now, if you're thinking, "Wow, that's rare!"—it's not as rare as you'd hope. Last year, another passenger on a United flight, right after the plane started moving, sprinted up and banged on the cockpit door.

He even managed to pop open an emergency exit! However his escape didn't go as planned—he ended up with a broken leg and later a prison stay of 18 months.
And just to add to the list, Delta had their own mid-air thrill. A passenger tried getting into the cockpit during a flight from L.A. to Nashville. Thanks to some quick-thinking passengers and crew, he was held back.
