Emirates has stated that starting in November 2023 and December 2023, respectively, it would be adding Premium Economy service to its flights to So Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) and Tokyo's Narita International Airport (NRT).
Emirates will be operating a total of 14 flights with Premium Economy after these new additions.
Emirates' Premium Economy seats will be offered for purchase on flights EK261 and EK262 between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Sao Paulo Airport beginning on November 19, 2023. These flights will initially operate three times per week before increasing to daily service by December 2023.

EK318 and 319 offer premium economy on flights from DXB Airport to Tokyo Narita. As on December 20, 2023, these flights will operate every day.
The aircraft used on these flights has a four-class layout with 338 seats in Economy Class, 76 in Business Class, and 14 First Class suites. Premium Economy has 56 seats, which are arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration at the front of the main deck.
According to the airline, its Premium Economy option has proven to be popular on the routes where it has already been introduced, and with travel demand soaring across Emirates' extensive network, it is anticipated to appeal to those looking for a premium travel experience at a reasonable price.
Emirates presently flies to the following destinations with its signature Airbus A380s equipped with Premium Economy seats:
- Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK)
- Houston’s George Bush International Airport (IAH
- Melbourne Airport (MEL)
- Auckland Airport (AKL)
- Christchurch Airport (CHC)
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
- London Heathrow Airport (LHR)
- Sydney International Airport (SYD)
Beginning on October 29, 2023, Premium Economy will also be offered on Emirates flights to Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) and Mumbai International Airport (BOM).
