The leisure airline Condor was obliged to take a brand-new Airbus A330neo out of service for repairs just a few weeks after celebrating its arrival.
The A330neo, with the registration D-ANRB, was struck by an airport vehicle on September 27, 2023, at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), resulting in a significant tear in the fuselage.
No passengers were on board the aircraft at the time of hit, and no one was hurt, a Condor spokesperson confirmed in a statement.

The incident occurred when the aircraft was empty and preparing for its next flight.

It is Condor's ninth brand-new A330neo, and it arrived on Saturday, September 2, 2023. The aircraft is just over three years old.
In order to complete its overall fleet renewal program, Condor anticipates receiving a total of 18 new long-haul aircraft.
Following the completion of the long-haul fleet renewal, Condor will replace its current Airbus A320, A321, and Boeing 757 aircraft with 13 factory-new A320neo and 28 factory-new A321neo aircraft in its short- and medium-haul fleet.
