The Brazilian aerospace industry is launching a new scholarship program in an effort to educate the next generation of female technologists. August 1 marked the beginning of registration, which will end on September 3. This year's school, which is only open to women, is a four-month program that essentially serves as a boot camp for people looking to enter the tech sector.

Embraer's Vice President of Human Resources, ESG, and Corporate Communications, Andreza Alberto, said,

"Embraer Social Tech combines education and innovation to contribute to the development of a more inclusive society. We are very proud of this affirmative action focused on quality education for women who want to enter the technology market."

The class will be taught using Zoom and will run from October 2nd through January 31st, 2023. After graduating, participants will be added to the talent databases of Embraer and affiliated businesses for consideration for upcoming positions. Over 15,000 people are employed by Embraer, which has offices and service centers all over the world.

What will the program include?

In collaboration with the technology-focused Gama Academy, the Embraer Social Tech Careers program is offering its third iteration. The course, according to Embraer, will teach students how to work with data analysis and the Python programming language.

If you want to participate in the program, you must fulfill a number of prerequisites. Being at least 18 years old, finishing high school, passing a technical exam, and being deemed culturally fit are all requirements.

Since its establishment in 2016, Gama Academy has developed into one of Brazil's top IT institutions. According to the institute, which has over 200,000 professionals on its platform, 90% of its graduates have secured jobs in more than 600 firms.
