Two passengers have been injured on a British Airways flight bound for St. Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) after a fight broke out onboard the Boeing 777 aircraft.

The event happened a few hours before landing, roughly six hours into a flight leaving London Gatwick Airport (LGW).
St. Lucia-based news source According to The Loop, two passengers got into a fight, and one of them is accused of smashing a wine bottle in the galley and using it as a weapon.
A third passenger attempted to defuse the situation but was wounded severely. A nurse on board the flight provided prompt care for the diabetic good Samaritan in question.
As soon as the plane touched down in St. Lucia, the three passengers involved in the altercation were all taken to a nearby hospital.
The passenger brandishing a wine bottle has been detained by authorities.
