A British passenger on a Ryanair flight from Zadar Airport (ZAD) in Croatia to London Stansted Airport (STN) attempted to open the aircraft door while it was taxiing for takeoff on June 30, 2023.
On June 30, 2023, a British passenger on a Ryanair flight made an attempt to open the aircraft door as it was taxiing for takeoff from Zadar Airport (ZAD) in Croatia to London Stansted Airport (STN).
Co-passengers managed to get video of the hectic incident. The video depicts the furious man, who is thought to be a boxer, ranting at passengers and flight attendants while standing in the aisle.
Two other passengers stepped in and started to assault him as he raced toward the front of the aircraft and demanded that the door be opened.

At the time of the incident, the aircraft was apparently taxiing down the runway and getting ready to take off. On the trip to Stansted, many of the passengers went to the Croatian music festival Hideout, which was held at the end of June 2023 on the island of Pag.
“This flight from Zadar to London Stansted returned to the stand when an individual passenger became disruptive while preparing for takeoff. The passenger was removed from the aircraft by local police before the flight continued safely to London Stansted. This is now a matter for local police. We sincerely apologize to affected passengers for any inconvenience caused as a result of this passenger’s disruptive behavior,” a Ryanair spokesperson told various media outlets.
Another video clip that showed the unruly passenger being taken away by police was also posted online:
