The Department of Transport's Air Accident Investigation Unit is in charge of looking into significant incidents and accidents involving aircraft that take place in Ireland.

Additionally, the AAIU aids foreign safety investigation agencies with their inquiries into incidents involving aircraft that are Irish-registered and/or operated abroad.

Additionally, Foreign States occasionally have the option of returning investigations to the AAIU.

The Chief Inspector of Air Accidents reports directly to Transport Minister Eamon Ryan.

During the busy summer vacation time, Dublin Airport has informed travellers that all of its parking lots are completely booked for the upcoming days.

The airport advised people without a reservation to make alternate plans to get to the airport, such as taking a bus, taxi, or being picked up by a friend or relative.
