Loganair unveiled a Special Embraer 145 Livery Celebrating Pride Month

The new colors come as Loganair opens a second base in Newcastle and sponsors the area's Northern Pride event.

The new colors coincide with Loganair's expansion into Newcastle and sponsorship of the region's Northern Pride celebration.

The first "Pride Jet" in the UK has been unveiled by Scottish airline Loganair. Along with its normal Loganair tartan tail, the Embraer 145 now flaunts the vintage Pride colors and gradient writing.

After taking to the skies for the first time this morning, Jet Prois, as the aircraft is known in Gaelic, will travel throughout the Loganair network. The uniquely decorated planes are a part of Loganair's sponsorship of the 2018 Northern Pride in Newcastle, which takes place on July 22–23.

Where will it fly?

Before its inaugural flight, Loganair's signature Tartan Tail and the rainbow flag were painted on the 49-seat Embraer 145 Regional Jet (G-SAJE) at the airline's Glasgow hangar. The new jet will stop at a number of locations, including towns where Pride celebrations have only recently begun to take place.

The biggest events in the country take place in Brighton, Manchester, and London and are attended by a sizable number of people each year. Jonathan Hinkles, CEO of Loganair, expressed his delight at the launch:

"I'm super-Proud to be celebrating Pride Month this month in Loganair - and what better way in which to do it than pinning our colours to the fuselage (quite literally) with the UK's first-ever airline Pride Jet

"I'm very much looking forward to this making its mark around the Loganair network during Pride Month and beyond."

“Newcastle is one of our most popular destinations and as we enter our biggest ever summer for the region, we’re thrilled to be announced as Northern Pride’s official airline partner.
