There haven't been many more informational updates thus far."An accident occurred on the ground at San Antonio International Airport (SAT) tonight that resulted in the fatality of an airline ground crew member," the airport said. "We are deeply saddened by this incident and are working with authorities as they begin their investigation. We will share more information as details become available."Unifi, a baggage handling company that Delta Air Lines uses in San Antonio, acknowledged that the ground crew member was a member of their staff. The website of Atlanta-based Unifi states that with operations at 200 locations and more than 20,000 workers, it is the largest ground handling and aviation services provider in North America. Cargo handling, refueling, cabin and exterior cleaning, and other ramp services are provided. At this time, Unifi could not be reached for comment.According to Catherine Morrow, senior communications coordinator of Delta, the airline extends its entire support to the victim's family and actively cooperates with inquiries."Details of course are a little lacking at this moment, but we can say on background that obviously we are fully supporting the investigations, and it was a person employed by a contracting company."
